Comments regarding fumigating peas to India always strike me ironically.
Anywhere else but here in the sub arctic stored grain is fumigated regularly until consumed.
China and India come to mind. One has huge state reserves where grain can sit for years.
Of course its necessary. But if only the people over here who cry "CHEMICALS!" could actually see how its done.

Agree but think the attitude would be that "at least we won the battle on chemicals in Canada and stopped those no good for nothing farmers" without knowing the reasons. All the while heading to the grocery store to buy rice and fish from over there because it's "healthier" than Canadian grown. Sad but true.
