They are doing a good job pissing off their base and they just won't vote for them in 2019, like me. Have fun with 4 more years of Trudeau boys. Gut the party and then I may be back. Membership expires end of the month and won't be renewed. If the party needs to contact me, I'll be over with FordNation trying to make Ontario great again.
Gosh I thought you’d be a Mulroney supporter.

      You're joking, right?

Mulroney was Patrick Brown's hand-picked prize.

She is Brown-Wynne lite. A perfect example of what 15444 is saying.

Ford would be best for the province but needs to connect with rural Ontario while keeping his Toronto base happy.

Elliott may have the best elect-ability but looks old and low energy.

Granic Allan is the smartest one of the bunch by a mile but likely too low a name recognition. An absolute bulldog and very articulate.

Her campaign slogan is "Conservative - For a Change".

And on the federal level, IPSOS says that if an election were held tomorrow, the Conservatives would win.

And that's without a real leader, LOLLLZ!

Problem is that she is ultra social conservative, which scares fiscal conservatives like me far away.

Mulroney is a puppet for Brown.

Elliot is a 20 year old sack of potatoes.

Ford says it like is. Lots of supporters for him in the most rural parts of Ontario. Rural Ontario doesn't need handouts or recognition. Just want to see an end to the socialist gravy train where anything is a write-off or a bonus if you're using taxpayer money.

I was. Nepotism has no place in politics. Friends and family plans are great for telephone plans but not politics.

It would be interesting to see a current-day analysis of the correlation between the retreat of social conservatism and the increased need of social programs. Specifically in the Canadian experience, since we've historically been a liberal democracy.

I doubt that there would be any interest in doing such a study, and even less appetite for publishing the results.

However, we have world history to examine at leisure and it speaks "volumes" on the matter, if you will pardon the expression.

For me, as long as it doesn't cost the taxpayers a dime, society can be as socially liberal as it wants.

I guess that was kinda the question I was raising...
