Steven Harper is looking pretty good right now.

He was a boring, no drama, stiff, cold person that the only thing the Corrupt News Media could pin on him that he wasn’t transparent enough and was hiding something from the Canadian people.

Harper was a boring adminiatrator.....I like boring in a Prime Minister. Harper hated the News Media, the news Media deserves to be hated. He locked down his people to no leaks or they were gone. The news media hunted and dug for dirt and blood all the time and when they couldn’t find anything they made stuff up. Oh yes the news media said he was a dictator too.

Over half the crap we are dealing with today are news media embellished lies and deceit as their heads are exploding just when Trump walks across the lawn. And when Trudeau shows up they have little hearts flow out of there heads and get all warm a fuzzy.

The adulterous crap the media dwells on today, was kept in the closet years ago (ie: JFK)

Yes I agree, PBS is a great station, good, balanced and thoughtful reporting of the facts. I appreciate a lot of their stories.

Why is that? Because it is publicly funded by its viewers. They have a huge accountability to their viewers or they won’t exist....so they run, non extreme or dramatic reporting.

Crap media is accountable to no one except it’s fickled advertisers that come and go.

They used to say in Europe that America was different because their best minds went into the business world rather than politics like they did in Europe. Probably some truth in that although they have their share of crazy politicians in Europe too.

I think it's largely a reflection of the dumbing down of society, this whole "celebrity spotlight" thing where worthless people like the Kardashians get worldwide 24 hour coverage. Every aspect of their ridiculous lives put under a microscope and reported to a (seemingly) eager audience. Of zero interest to me.

One thing I will say despite all the proclamations on here that this country or that country is disintegrating/ a laughing stock/finished/doomed - my life hasn't changed one iota with the change from Harper to Trudeau - absolutely zero difference one way or the other. Maybe what's lacking most is people keeping things in perspective?

Can't really just tune out the thing that affects our economy and life almost as much as our own government. If trump goes bananas if it's possible to go more these trade wars etc have huge effects on our trade deals directly and indirectly.

Also if it's acceptable to have a ***** as president it will be to have a pm as one
