Big report day tomorrow . . . USDA plantings and quarterly stocks reports released plus Hogs and Pigs quarterly, for those interested.

This will mark the '1st time ever' that U.S. soybean plantings exceed corn acres.

And that is why I sold al lot of canola in the past two days. With big bean acres and canola to expand to record levels prices will tumble.
Just another crop that will be added the list where profits will be very short.

Profits won't be short for the guys selling the canola seed and thats all that matters to say the ag industry is healthy.

Moving markets on intentions, speculation and expectations.... any thing to suppress them. Seems if there is any ever bullish news it's a "wait and see" scenario, but the bearish news gets immediate action.

Of course I don't fully believe this is true but it sure feels like it.

Is corn a sleeping bull? Global and U.S. corn stocks will likely tighten over the year.

This has been happening for years, and better continue or soy buyers will have to scramble.

It’s record demand that’s king! What happens if:
Drought?
Bugs, rain, frost, small crop ect

That can happen real easy, that’s black swan stuff. You see it flying towards you, can’t make out what it is, then ... it’s obvious

There is a slight move back to corn after the survey was taken as corn price have improved a bit due to lower prospects for 2nd crop corn in Brazil. Feed barley is getting all the buzz up here now. Hopefully there will be some dry weather so we can get some yield from barley this year. Barley don't like mud.

Stocks: corn 8.888, beans 2.107, and wheat 1.494

Acres: corn 88.026, beans 88.982, all wheat 47.339

Corn up 10 cents, Beans up 25 cents, canola up 2 bucks, oats up 3 cents and Minneapolis wheat down 8 cents currently.
