Big report day tomorrow . . . USDA plantings and quarterly stocks reports released plus Hogs and Pigs quarterly, for those interested.

    Corn 89.42 90.17

And that is why I sold al lot of canola in the past two days. With big bean acres and canola to expand to record levels prices will tumble.
Just another crop that will be added the list where profits will be very short.

Profits won't be short for the guys selling the canola seed and thats all that matters to say the ag industry is healthy.

Moving markets on intentions, speculation and expectations.... any thing to suppress them. Seems if there is any ever bullish news it's a "wait and see" scenario, but the bearish news gets immediate action.

Of course I don't fully believe this is true but it sure feels like it.

Is corn a sleeping bull? Global and U.S. corn stocks will likely tighten over the year.

            Every one gets scared.
            Record yields...
            Record acreage....

This has been happening for years, and better continue or soy buyers will have to scramble.

It’s record demand that’s king! What happens if:
            Drought?
Bugs, rain, frost, small crop ect

That can happen real easy, that’s black swan stuff. You see it flying towards you, can’t make out what it is, then ... it’s obvious

There is a slight move back to corn after the survey was taken as corn price have improved a bit due to lower prospects for 2nd crop corn in Brazil. Feed barley is getting all the buzz up here now. Hopefully there will be some dry weather so we can get some yield from barley this year. Barley don't like mud.

Corn price surge triggered a 'limit down' move in feeder cattle today. Cattle feeding wreck now in-progress . . . .

Someone care to comment on the extra spring wheat acres?
The moisture levels in those areas? Price risk for us moving into spring rally season.
Drought risk for above? First hand accounts?
Just getting a handle on target for new crop spring sales.
Often have 2/3s of the physical sold by mid July.

Corn number is low. Likely want to get price protection on corn soon. The other numbers are likely fairly accurate.

Minneapolis getting gutted... The chart looks like shit. Plumbed new lows @ $5.75 today. All wheat acreage intended will be 2nd lowest on record since 1919? If this number is a 3% increase over 2017, i'd say it's fair to say that last year, and this upcoming year are estimated to be the 2 lowest seeded acreages since 1919, yet Minneapolis dumps? Durum acres estimated at 2M acres down 13% from last year, yet Paterson sends out a 5 exclamation point email this morning saying price is dropping again? Hard to find a bright spot going into next year... Dump more fertilizer and inputs into it, and pray to god for rain cause bushels are gonna have to cover it im thinking!

Big asterisks behind lentil and pea seeding intentions as well...
-Lentils if intended acres are realized will be the third largest acreage on record.
-Peas if intended acres are realized will be the 6th largest since 1929
