Our laws are. So slack it will be worse here.
Colorado is different because there are nearby states where it is illegal and there is a large black market. In canada it will be legal in every province. The US market will be an option for some "high risk exporters" but not other provinces.

I would think there should be less drug impaired people on the road.Cause police will now be properly trained and penalties are more.Renember lots of prescription drugs and driving can get you the same result when caught as smoking pot and driving.

As far. As accidents I have more than one rcmp friend that will tell you otherwise. Rarely gets checked in many accidents if you don't have reason to suspect.

If I know someone is a drug user they don't work for me. If I find out later they get let go. I can't fool around waiting for that atoned day to happen where my combine gets rolled or driven into someone or something

Prohibition never works yes because ther are never serious enough consequences
Local drug dealers didn't mind going to court only to get a 200 dollar fine and then make a 5,000 dollar deal outside the courthouse with the other stoners there. And sometimes the dealer knows the judge also as a customer so no wonder.
Same with alcohol youbget caught driving stoned you don't just lose your license you lose your vehicle and 10,000 first time 100,000 next time. But I guess then you'd have to watch for all the walking stonies. Hahaha
You are grossly misinformed. Your assertion cannabis fry’s brains is wrong. The studies that show iq impairment don’t account for what other drugs or alcohol the patient used. The studies are flawed. http://www.sciencemag.org/news/2016/01/twins-study-finds-no-evidence-marijuana-lowers-iq-teens http://www.sciencemag.org/news/2016/01/twins-study-finds-no-evidence-marijuana-lowers-iq-teens Your RCMP friend is not a source for the impairment of cannabis. You should quit spewing misinformation it makes you look really dumb. Harder penalties for drugs don’t work. Or maybe you want to kill drug dealers. You should move to a county that is not Canada if you believe that. https://www.cnn.com/2018/04/18/health/marijuana-cognitive-effects-study/index.html https://www.cnn.com/2018/04/18/health/marijuana-cognitive-effects-study/index.html (Marijuana's effects on young brains diminish 72 hours after use, research says)

If the oils are beneficial to us that needs to be studied. In the US studies were NEVER allowed on illegal substances. Smoking is certainly NOT an option. Laws need to adjust, and any users MUST be aware of driving laws AND workplace regulations or lives WILL be destroyed. Complicated!

Lives have been destroyed for years now by drug impaired drivers.

Agree, but even if nobody dies, losing driving privileges and your job/career is destroying your life.

I am saying drivers that smoke up and drive will not change with it being legal other than they may get caught now that the cops get trained.
