Ok ill be nice this week as Canadas joke handed the rein of stupidity off to his Environment minister. Climate barbie doesn't have time for us common folk as she knows better and will do as she wants.

Ah, she is so stupid watch what happens election night. Bye Bye, you fool. Joe public is finally waking up. Canada let idiots and special interest groups take over. People kind. No Mom and Dad Gender neutral. WTF.

This goes hand in hand with Climate change and that who Fricking bullshit thing. Climate does change always has always will. Volcanos go off blow a mountain top off cool summer. Ocean temps change hot summer and dry or cold and wet. Cool spring yea this one sucks but one year we didn't have leaves on the trees until June 4th or so. Yea it was that cool of a spring. Canada needs to warm up not cool down but people who are geniuses just don't get that.

Spread the wealth from western Canada to rest. Oh, it's working but now Alberta is approaching Ontario wealth in reverse. Ah The NDP way.

In Sask, my NDP friends are trying real hard to prop up their useless choice of new leader and spew countless stories of how bad it is under the Sask party. Funny some of these hated the NDP when i was younger and now they are in reverse. 30% of Sask. will always vote socialist. Under the divide and conquer you split the Liberals and Conservatives and came up the middle. Great way to govern but people finally woke up.

Look at who caused real debt in Canada in any province or national.

TRUDEAU senior, Now Junior. Ontario Bobby boy and Alberta nut case and so on and so on.

Ok, enough about politics oh wait there is Trump. Ok, he has either big Balls or didn't quite figure this challenge out.

What is nice to see the USA is finally trying to come back as a superpower not like under Obama and his agenda.

China got big on the USA being lazy and thinking they were strong. Jobs left, Americans didn't really care they had it good but then other places got stronger and stronger and when you just do nothing you get weaker.

So will it work I don't know but one thing is for sure Canada will get the shaft because of our weak useless fools running our government? Even Grass has to agree with me when two superpowers go at it the weak get lost in the crowd.

CANADA IS THE WEAK. Carbon tax and all. Keep oil in the ground and stop all jobs wealth etc. It's THE NEW WAY to Bankruptcy.

Ah farming the next joke downturn etc. Study history ill give an example in 1979 or 80 my dad went and bought a new 4040 then went back and got a new combine 7700 then back a third time for a Deere 8630 all paid cash except a small loan on the big tractor. By 1982 land hit high and they weren't making any more and the world will run out of food. B O O M! Interest rates hit farms closed and land dropped.

This year with India playing games and China and USA going to town and South America and Russia handing us our lunch farming is in a transition. Those paying $100.00 acre rent good luck ill be honest your going to need it. Those paying 530,000.00 for land good luck you really need it.

Keep producing, Shitty rail service and overpriced Equipment, Seed, Diesel, ETc.

    Yep were winning.

Farming is and always will be about timing and I believe its a year to sit back watch the show and get ready for some really interesting times. Just saying things are going to get real and real fast.

Now we started the cleaners up after I got home and did a Run of Barley now onto Peas, Why the one crop I liked growing got pretty good at growing is now Dead or on Death's door. But it was new seed last year and keeping it for another I don't like the outcome. So we will clean it all and seed probably two quarters instead of 6 or 8. It sucks but again piss poor leadership from a PM and Pulse council with no clue whats going on. Sad really and I can't even get my money back to hit them where it counts.

Cold weather sucks also but boys its been this way in the past and guess what it's a cold spring. Probably seeding won't start in our area till at least the 7th of May. SNow is deep and its settled down.

Oh, one more thing our PM is in travel mode again bouncing the next two weeks all over the place getting awards etc. At home, the only reward is he is gone and can't damage the economy anymore. But again a useless Pm who plays and doesn't actually work.

So easter is done spring sales have started the countdown begins. Cool should take some yield again from the USA on winter wheat.

Next Friday first Sale I'm going to and yea snow will be on the ground and cool. Not like the next two days at min 30 with the wind.

Happy seeding better get some of that 80 an acre or 100 a acre land and get big or go home.

Attended some North Dakota grower meetings 20 or 30 years ago.
Was the time of grain wars, US had EEP program export subsidies.
Canada had wheat board which was big trade irritant to them.
Only once did a grower publicly speak out with protectionist bombast of Trump.
Protectionism was there just as here in support of wheat board and supply management.
Trying to think what led to world grain trade peace (relatively speaking) last twenty years.

As I remember winter 2001/2002 was cold and late like this yr and 2002 was the drought, do you suppose history will repeat ?

Every country in the world is protectionist. Canada has its tariffs on dairy and chicken. China has tariffs on soy and canola and who know what else. Those tariffs have been in place for years. India has its pulse tariffs. Nothing gets into Europe they are the professionals at non tariff barriers like GMO and beef hormones. Australia is non GMO for trade barrier purposes. Why is a big deal if the US has some tariffs?

It isn’t and trump wants the USA to move forward and wants all the hind tit suckers to fall off.

          UN
          China
          Mediterranean
          Africa
          And on and on

The USA was once strong throw in a few light weights and boom your a bottom feeder.

          Canada is moving that way

We picked some real winners this time and god help canada if they pull off a win again in 2019x

May 7th? That sure sounds good to me! Would take a miracle here. 1996 seeding started May 27th here. Looks similar this year if we get lucky...

I am always impressed when guys can forecast over a month when seeding will start! 2010. Harrowed on April 27th. Then it started raining. Never seeded an acre that year...

Minus 22 in Regina now as the sun starts to rise throw in the wind and wow its cold. This is getting sickening.

Let's all turn down the furnace because with a Carbon tax was supposed to be smart little boys and girls and use less energy. Grab a blanket put on a coat and sip on your morning coffee but don't turn the furnace up. Basically, freeze just to help China and India get ahead of us. Go back to when my grandfather arrived and freeze but this time do it in your fancy home. Because see in a liberals mind that's what they want.

Oh but not in their homes.

Funny two years ago when USA land prices peaked I noticed farmers were cleaning up lots and lots of fields, old yards creeks etc. Well two years later I swear our area has 1000 extra acres all thanks to a cat clearing frenzy.

Someone called looking for greens @ $9. Sold just about all of them @ $8.50 at the end of Jan.

Should probably dump that last small load.

Furrow how are prices in NW Sask?
