Bought a new to me New Holland air cart with sectional control. I have a 2007 9430 with 48 gpm hydraulic pump. It would run the cart ok as long as I didn't have to lift up the seeding tool and turn at the same time(maybe). Looking at 3 possible tractors. A John Deere 2012 9460R, 78 gpm pump, pto and 1750 hrs, if I remember right had to add gps. $150 K difference. Second choice New Holland 2014 T9.670, 80 gpm pump, 1450 hrs, 6 remotes, no pto, 800 rubber, top of the line cab, gps, cab suspension. $135 K difference. Third choice 2014 Versatile 450, 750 hrs, 106 gpm pump, pto, 800 rubber, cat power shift, outback auto steer, 6 remotes, $105 K difference. Really liked the 9430 just not enough hydraulics. Any advice appreciated😃

Ask about the air filter issues on the jd9460r....if they tell you that it isn't an issue ....tell them to **** off and buy a different color.
Or get them to buy you a couple years supply of air filters efor when it starts coding with 4 ounces of dirt in the filter.

Sorry not the point of your thread but does anyone have any experience with the sectional control on those tanks? I asked my dealer the other day and he said it was expensive and they end up taking them off the tanks cause they don't work well. Is that true or was he just trying to sell me something different?

Hamloc
That versy outspecs the Others and at a lower price. Plus more serviceable and more reliable imho
Good luck!

We run a Versatile 535. No DEF, Cat powershift. Basic tractor. Had an option of buying a new T(?) NH at the time from the same dealer for about the same money....opted for the Versatile. We can't afford the JD brand marketing prices. They like to think they "always" have a superior product, which isn't "always" the case.
We don't put alot of hours on ours. It should be here a long time.....averaging out that high depreciation from new. A good 4WD holds its value quite well.
