So you do not want to prevent overdoses or use of contaminated drugs. How do you want to solve the problem? The system we have now has never worked. Human nature will not change but you can modify behavior and reset it. The central question is whether it is more cost effective to treat drug addiction as a medical problem or a criminal problem and which choice will be better for society. We should only look after the perfect people and put the rest in prison.
