Do not close your mind to the idea of treating drug use as a medical condition. What we have now is not working. Portugal has a model which needs to be looked at. Unless you wish to use the Phillipine model and just execute everyone. It is probably cheaper to treat it as a medical problem than throw everyone into jail. Just remember how prohibition worked and what we have now. Is it really that different?

Nobody in this govt has a sniff on how an economy functions and this'll prove it in spades. They view everything as through the eyes of a lawyer. Does anyone honestly believe that just because the law changes everyone using it will go to the govt store? Just an observation but the threat of jail doesn't seem to impede the people currently selling. There's zero leverage against a drug dealer dropping his price $5 under govt.
