    Rainfall a bust.

jeewillagers, suppose to get 15mm, ended up with 1mm. Guess we'll be planting now, no rain forecast for two weeks, so she'll just get dryer and dryer.

Just a drizzle here. Don’t think we need to get the rain guage out.

No , no , rain not necessary with these new varieties . Grew a record (cough, cough) canola crop without any rain last year , lol. Read it right in our farm (cough, cough) newspaper last fall

dust storm here all of yesterday, dirty thirties are back. We will see how the 'new' seed genetics really perform in a drought this year. bin doors are now locked.

Grand total at the Slum of the Ghetto was .23 inches, or for the "Imperially" challenged(lol) that's 5.75 mm.

Not a pile but glad to get it.....even after all that pissing and moaning this morning.

I THINK THE HEAVY HARROWS WILL STAY FOLDED UP AT THE YARD THIS SPRING. There wasn't alot of trash to contend with from last year's lighter crop

                      Try zero ... again.
Agree with others , most of us grew last was 75% or more subsoil . It ain’t there now.
Lots can and will change in some areas , but in general........

Funny thing paid again for Drews forecasting and yes it hit the mark. Totals are a little lower but storms are following a similar path to years ago. Sunday he said will be an on and off week for us for rain and environment Canada had rain Monday and sunny ways all week. Now today I read and environment Canada feels Yorkton south might get some the same as Drew Said. Time will tell but Environment Canada is usually wrong.

His concern and its also mine are we will get normal rain till July then the taps might turn off if the same situation develops in Alaska as last year. But the line of no rain is more southern Manitoba.

But yes we grew last years crop at 75% of the flood years reserve. The reserve is gone.

Moisture yesterday did meet the two layers again, thanks to stupid wind the week before drying shit up.

Ah farming its Western Canada where mother nature is one cruel bitch and most years shes pissed.

The GFS model is not very reliable either, but this doesn't look too encouraging.
Totals out to May 15 in inches

6 tenths billion dollar rain!! We were one tenth away from matching all of last years precipitation.
Very, very thankful for the moisture.
