If you're short of rain I hope you get some more. Pictures on the news of a brutal amount of hail in MooseJaw overnight.

There was no hail here in this afternoon's storm.

In Moose Jaw even a school bus got stuck in the street from so much hail and that was the morning 5 hours after the hail storm .

Got around 7/10 of an inch here east of Edmonton which was just about right to get everything going. Now would like warm weather so it does go. Hopefully no frost as it was cold yesterday.

If it rains much more we are screwed. Hard to believe how we can have water laying and running off, while others need the sky poison...

It started raining yesterday afternoon and we have an inch now. The weather network is forecasting 25-30 mm tomorrow! I just hope they are wrong.

Take a dry sponge and pour water on it.....then take a moist sponge and do the same....

See the difference.....The ground when its as dry as it is, repels water. ...

These 1 inch in 10 minutes burst do no good.

A gentle quarter inch would have done the job for a week.

Ground is sealed with the pounding...reducing the infiltration rates....

                    Nothing in moderation....nothing.

I guess the industry is always ...go hard or go home...

Another 3 tenths yesterday and overnight. Every other day it's been showering. Seems about normal around here gets wet just in time for spraying. Hopefully we don't get as much as they are forecasting the soil is full.

Clear and sunny this am ,looks like we will be going out of may with a total of 4mm ,and a bit of snow back in April, but the grass is growing. Mabry June will be different.

The slight drought this area had is over..
Back to the mud bowl boys..
Just in time to rut up the fields again with the sprayers.

Some on Agriville were writing off this crop due to drought already on May20th. 🙈

Starting to sound like the “drought” is over.....back to the muddy conditions we go.
