The auto sector is fully integrated with them and the dairy thing isn't big enough to worry about ...there is only 35 million in Canada. ...not sure why it bothers the Americans so much....

A big dairy state, Wisconsin seems to have a lot of power and currently the speaker of the house is from there and he’s getting heat from his farmers....I’m assuming this is why they are going after dairy.
Trump is trying to bring jobs back to Detroit so is going after auto imports hard. You’re right though it is already fully integrated.

bucket,,,the reason you don't understand what's happening with this trade dispute, is because you are relying on Canadian News media for answers, and they are giving covering and supporting Trudeau. Liberal media, expressing Liberal thought, subsidized by the Liberal government, paid for by Canadian tax payers.

Essentially what's happening is Canada is a flow through for steel and aluminum from other countries, ie China, India, etc These other countries are using our NAFTA arrangement with the U.S.A. to hide the export of their subsidized metal into the U.S.A., and we're not going to or not willing to, stop it.
