His partner Katib just redid his 400 million dollar loan with the banks here....wait until the banks find out someone forgot to do their due diligence.....My guess is that the money is "poof" gone.

400 million at 4 cents a pound processing is a lot of crop to be moving....only about 4.5 million tonnes

It's out there loud and clear in Turkey.

        3. Is Huseyin Arslan actually associating with Terrorists as the Turkish articles claim? The Turkish media are clear.

The very idea that you should have to ask the question will likely make farmers turn to an alternate marketer. I mean, wow. Pars

            4. The positive is farmers grow and own the pulses. Lentils. I noted fine lentils in some of my recent travels. Will farmers need someone dependable to market them besides the one sole marketer that,

            and I'll quote,

"According to the news of the Republic, Mersin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has been informed that Mahmut Arslan, Hüseyin Arslan, Hasan Arslan and Ali Arslan can not be found at the addresses of the detainees." Unquote.

My first thought was about farmers .

I paid attention to the newspaper quote even though I read where someone sloughed it off as fake news. Except the media in Turkey did not. The ramifications are too expensive for farmers to ignore the stories, aren't they? Pars

The Chief Prosecutor of the Republic also learned that Mahmut Arslan and Hasan Arslan had also conducted an investigation in order to help and abet the terrorist organization PKK.

Mahmut Arslan, who is one of the founders of Arbel Pulses, was also the President of the Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the Presidium of the Mediterranean Exporters' Unions."
The internal politics of Turkey are of great interest to red lentil growers. IMO this has less to do with AGT and more to do with internal Turkish politics. Interesting news though. I googled Gülen movement and find it related to the article. Pretty confusing .

I havent read where Huseyin Arslan has made a statement, have you? Of course, I assume he has. One question I would ask from a producers point of view, after reading about both the Clinton and Trudeau Foundations' impenetrable disclosure-protection in place, is if Huseyin Arslan's own corp earnings are protected in a personal trust fund, similar to the aforementioned two. What about producer earnings en route to your bank accounts? Is it accessible? You know better than I that large $numbers require hard, pointed questions.

Of course the larger industry view, that must be dealt with is whether or not the earnings from pulse crops, in 🇨🇦, are financing ME Terrorists, as so many of the Turkish websites accuse. I'll search a bit later on tonight. In the meantime, my 🌺 need watering. 🙂Pars

I assume Canadian Pulse Producers' Assoc Is scrutinizing and evaluating the media reports in Turkey in order to avoid potential financial losses for producers. What have they told you? Farmers need to have confidence in their sellers. Did everyone receive a report/updates? Pars

                      You're joking right?

                      Or is that sarcasm?

Our producer organizations are seen in other countries as foolish and operating with the 'undesirables'.

There's more to this story. Just wait till it comes out... Kazakhstan will be selling more lentils to India. LOL.

Private labels. Well, as long as farmers didn't pay for them...

Well, Klause, the Canadian Pulse Growers' Association is called Pulse Canada, methinks.

Pulse Canada gets funding & direction from Sask Pulse Growers, Alberta Pulse Growers Commission, Manitoba Pulse and Soybean Growers and Ontario Bean Growers as well as the processors.

Plus exporters of Cndn pulses that are members of the Canadian Special Crops Association (CSCA).

Read the names again so you know who directs and pays for Pulse Canada. And then I have a question.

Pulse Canada says on it's website:

Quote "Pulse Canada aims to to provide help where it is needed most.. In our agriculture! We organise meetings and are very vocal in our ways of preventing logging and the destruction of our wonderful land" unquote

My question is this: which producer orgs, or exporters told Pulse Canada and paid Pulse Canada to start lobbying against logging? Who made & seconded the motion in each prov org to support this policy? Ask for a copy of the minutes. Note who dissented.

This is a genuine shit show. And I'll bet farmers don't know what their money is used for.

But your producer org directors sure the hell do. and the directors who voted for activist lobbying against logging need to be replaced. Yesterday. Pars
