Well, I would say that the 2018 crop is in the ground. The last few around us got done seeding after the rain and the crops are growing. It is true Rain makes grain. But for some Rain makes mud which is a dud.

Funny the big rain event missed a lot of farms. It's not funny I know, It's sad that a massive system that moved it seemed to look like it was going to start and get all of Sask and then only started from Regina East and moved NE.

I have friends that only got maybe a mil and some who have been totally skunked for rain in May. That is hard to believe but its weather Not climate change and its happened before and it happens again. We have dry cycles and wet ones and that's why its called weather.

So here is the crop report for our area.

Peas are up and running even if they're worthless. Hey, shit for brains in Ottawa we got slapped with a 50% tariff on our products and you dressed up funny and partied in India. Where is our compensation you useless fool? Some early peas are beyond spraying past the 6 nodes. Good catch and growing very well. The odd yellow spot thanks to the rain but so far should be ok. We are finished spraying the peas.

HRS is up and some early stuff is getting its Wild oats spray. Fields are really clean guys are waiting a bit to see if we get another flush after the rain. HRS looks good so far. Some yellow in areas with excess rain but good. We might get to the first fields of wheat today if the rain stays away.

Barley is growing like a madman. Nice catch and doing very well. Spraying will begin today for in crop.

Canola is up on early and poking its head out on late. Good catch and rain will help even out the stages a bit. So far Flea Beatles are not an issue. Hey, when the brain dead regulators get rid of a great product give us a useless product and then the companies offer incentives if it doesn't work. Really makes a lot of sense.

Lentils are up in the area and so far like the spring rains.

Oats is last seeded and just in the ground.

Flax is up and looks great.

Organic guys have issues with excess weeds and won't have great clean fields this year.

Pasture liked the slow cool rain that soaked in. It gave it a bit of life needs another good slow soaker.

Funny thing in the sloughs and creeks last winter must have been very hard on bugs and frogs etc. Most water bodies have very little life in them. Well with no snow and cold till march something had to happen.

Overall the rain was such a blessing and arrived just in time Total for 2018 since april is 3.25 in. We only need three more one in June one in July at beginning and exhibition week to finish off.

Looks good so far. Those that desperately need rain I hope you get your wish.

Ok, politics the JT team just keep doing what they do best F#K$ up.

Our Ag minister all farmers love the Carbon TAx.

    Moron.

Have a great week and remember the ones at home are way more important than this useless crop that they will take for nothing and you do all the work.

I probably would respect our Pm more if he would just come out and say he is special and one of the extra genders he is talking about instead of pretending to be a leader and push on the world the UN View.

Its all about him getting a job after this run is over and the UN is where he will go. A full-time job that does nothing and lets him live off other people for the rest of his life. Sad really and Canada suffers.

Please post what the crops are doing in your area any issues happening and how wet it is or how dry it is or did it actually freeze last Saturday we hit plus 2 Sunday morning.

Roundup at 500 grams per acre and goldwing doesn't kill **** all.

Actually roundup transorb is a shit chemical....

Wondering why it can't be a law when these ****ers sell something that doesn't work they don't have to also pay the expense of the sprayer for respray or the loss of the crop.

Glad to hear you're ticket was a winner. Pretty spotty germ here on no rain until a half inch last week. Now the rest is coming, I've got lots of 4 leaf wheat with newly emerged. 20 year old Flexi 5000 let me down.

Roundup seems to work here, maybe you've got something antagonistic in the water.

Nope water was tested last year and all my neighbours pulling from the same municipal well....my retailer says I am using an insane amount of glyphosate not to be getting better results.

The goldwing was just a heater to cover any possible resistance kochia. Retailer thought I was kidding about the mess I had.

Says I should have used authority.....Authority doesn't kill Kochia thats already up....and since it had 3 shots of roundup last year wasn't really expecting a big problem like this.

Completely smoked the foxtail barley which is the indicator the roundup was strong enough.

How’s the canola looking in your area?

SE of Regina it’s all pretty spotty. Doesn’t seem to be off to a great start. Canola always finds a way to fill in the gaps but yields look like they might suffer a bit in our area

The early has thick nice spots and then thin I think the dry ground has something to do
With it since rain it’s filled in.

                    Finished spraying the wheat yesterday.
Crop that is not drowned or rutted by tractor/sprayer looks awesome.

Maybe wireworm or cutworm when it was so dry.

3/4 of an inch in my rain gauge in Regina. Now did my wife or the boys forget to empty it the other day? Farm weather station down this morning as my Wifi must have tripped. Oh well, now I understand Bethune.

1.64 inches from yesterday morning till over night....yikes.

We're "full". I would have liked to donate an inch to someone who needs it.

That's about 6 inches starting from May 24. I guess we're "in the zone" now.
