Go ask a beef rancher how well that worked out for them after 2003.

Trump said he wanted to eliminate all subsidies and tariffs. A good negotiator would jump on that and make a list of them on both sides of the border and sign that both parties eliminate them all, regardless of political implications. That is how you play hardball.

But Canada? They are hiding in the closet, screaming "Quit picking on me! I just want to be friends!"
Not even doing that in Canuckistan. Lots of folk around here are irrationally anti American and Trudope just plays to that crowd which are his voters. Unfortunately those folks get their income from government. Anyways Canuckistan is irrelevant on the world stage and will be a failed state soon enough once the ability to borrow runs out. Most Americans don't care what the world thinks of them and they shouldn't because the ROW (rest of world) is irrelevant to them.

I'm willing to be judged by history as one who opposed the actions of liars and bullies such as Trump. If Trudeau had conceded appeasement though supply management disbandment and Nafta changes as desired by US Government....we would have been at same odds the next week or so.

Trumpism wants all his concessions right now and that steel and aluminium tariff wouldn't have changed one iota.

Trudeau certainly isn't any good to Western Canada; but he did somewhat the right thing this time.

        Absolutely correct!!
Squirrel brains was going to blow Kim Jung to pieces a few short months ago Kim said fk you that don't scare me kept building the nuke or making it look like he has which I doubt he even has. But it worked ***** bully trump didn't do a thing.
And now he's going to wine and dine the second biggest loser in the the world at the White House. The second dumbest leader outsmarted the dumbest. Kim now has world popularity.
This trade is no different this is how squirrel brains only knows to deal first bluff with bullshit and if your dumb enough to bite you get taken to the cleaners. The Americas as whole are as terrified of this as everyone else closing your border does not work.

This whole issue is not about truduea this is about Canada!!!

And further... Give the US electorate the benefit of the doubt concerning Trump's reelection (or even the mid term elections this fall.)

The way the Democratic opposition party acts and has acted gives a lot of credibility to the analysis "That surely Clinton and Trump were'nt the best that the US political system had to offer"

If I was elected president of the US, Nafta would be gone just as it is now. I just would not waste time talking with the likes of Trudeau and there would be less rhetoric going on. NAFTA was an act of generosity by the US to its North American neighbors. If they can't seem to appreciate it, then it would be gone as it is now. Access to the large rich US market is everything.

Yes I wouldn’t be quick to jump on Triumph or Trudeaux yet, see what it finishes as.
Trump is the president who has finally got Kim to negotiate, smile, appear amiable vs previous
governments, again wait for the outcome.
The west is still likely to suffer here.

Hasn't Trump already gave Justin a kick in the ass?

The MSM is spinning it like Justin is going to come out as the poor underdog hero.

Where is the economy going after this weekend?

Are you heading out to buy a new truck because you think this is the time and things are going to be great for the next five years?

IMHO investment is going to go south in more ways than one.

Trump say's this is going to cost Justin money, and there it is.
