Perhaps read this Senate report on the topic from a Conservative Senator from Alberta showing that Hutterites are being unfairly taxed at rates higher than the average farmer pays.

I’m sure that as a collective they would pay the next level of tax over the corporate Small business deduction limit of $500,000?

They are all individual or not?

Each enterprise, or if they all are under one umbrella should be taxed the same as other farms.

To be fair, they should be taxed the same as any other farm or corporate business!

They are nice people, that’s not the issue.

I agree on the selling part, inflation proof income, ( unless your one that hopes for deflation)

            But..

There is a reality that comes into place, every one passes on. All the assets during that life time must be sold, gifted, purchased, transfers to the next gate keeper.

Trusts only last 20 years. Colonies have some sort of special trust or corporate structure where they don’t have to rebalance, or reset the cost base?

If there is special status for religious reasons, one should then assess how how time and what resources are actually full time dedicated to 100 % religious activities. Like your vehicle used for personal and business, or your home office etc.,

Most religious activities are spiritual, very limited business income expense activities. My family dedicates Sunday’s to spiritual, family, community type activities. Plus meal times, holidays, etc, similar to home schooling.

Just want fair and equal with our Treaty 6 Indigionus.
