Let's see where does a guy start.... even though I'm not paying any taxes in your country, if I knowingly break the law and drag my children with me across a foreign border I'm entitled to your entitlements as a non tax paying foreigner. These entitlements include social programs I've paid **** all into and I guarantee I'll pay nothing into them if you allow me (And my 13 kids) in. Why would anyone work and contribute when it's all free. Healthcare, food stamps, iPhone .... the list goes on. The difference between ancestors 100 years ago and today was there was no socialism. They bought their own boat ticket to get here. They had no healthcare on arrival. There was no food stamps. They busted their balls and went to work to survive. They fought, they bled, and they did their absolute damndest to fit in. They didn't ask society to change for them, they changed to fit in. Germans that had Nazi heritage changed their names to be accepted. No one today will do what our ancestors did. They are immigrating for money because we offer a free ride to all. If that opinion makes me racist, so be it. It's the most overused term by the left today( Marx coined it) Commie bastard that he was. Make the parents take responsibility for leaving their kids in a jail, last I saw the kids were free in the country they left. It's not our responsibility to fix the world, we don't have the money because our govt pissed it away. Giving to everyone that didn't pay taxes for services in return ..... we are a long ****ing ways from a one world govt. If they go through the legal process, the paperwork and everything else involved, by all means we should welcome them with open arms. I have the utmost respect for someone wanting a better life and willing to go through the process. It isn't all "good people" getting detained.

I guess you don't or can't understand why it is unnecessary and inhumane to separate children from their parents when they can be kept together under these circumstances.

As it turns out even Trump changed his mind and will discontinue the separation and putting kids in dog pens. Melania apparently has more influence than we give her credit for. And Trump was facing pressure from all sides on this ugly business.
