This is for the guys that have Air Disc Drills, which ones could you use to fertlize hay fields in the spring when there is good moisture. Would like to put it a couple inches deep, have looked at the Flexcoil 6000 with the Barton openers. Think they would work would any others.

The John Deere 1890 or 1895 would do the trick. We put it down about 1†deep in our hay field and a few days later you had to look hard to see where it went.

We run a 4710 bourgault and would agree with A4A that you couldn’t tell where you’ve been after a few days. We just float our fertilizer on hay/pasture due to the expense of running the drill. Just try and time it ahead of a shower is all we do.
Built a removable 75’ floater bar for the back of a 300 bu tank and it’s more accurate and faster than a spinner. Works great for floating alfalfa and canola seed in a hurry too.
