Starting to hear this term in regards to United States activities affecting Canada.
Whatever else we may think of our Liberal government, it deserves credit for response to US.
Would have preferred to avoid new tariffs against US, even if they are retaliatory, but how else do we deal with the very type of thing that sparked the American revolution and independence?

Drop the currency same amount as the tarrifs ..... so we collect tarrif on US goods coming in, govt hoards 50+% and redistribute to the companies of their choice in Ontario and Quebec? Devaluing makes imports more expensive and domestic producers gain the advantage in the US. Errrbody wins... this is a ****ing tax grab.

What should have happened is that Canuckistanian negotiators offered something to the US on some of the points they were bringing up. We didn't and are going to get just rewards for our folly. This whole hostile activity nonsense is just that. Canuckistanian living standards are dropping fast enough so don't drop the currency. The loon will become worthless soon enough. Have some savings which I am counting on to make it through hard times that lie ahead so don't accelerate the pace at which they are worthless. Besides all countries of the world have been playing the gain advantage by dropping currency in the export market for a long time and the US is on to that game.

Trudeau thinks its cute to fly in the face and bad-mouth our southern neighbours and most important trading partner. Not cute, drama boy! Expensive game you’re playing - grow up! Once when we were going through a CRA audit, we had to slap ourselves and say, “just remember CRA has the power.” No different here - the big guy’s got the power, we are small fish and for the Mexican leader to be giving us advice in how Trudeau should treat Trump - we will be the next Mexico soon, maybe Quatemala if we don’t smarten up.

Don't see why 15 to 20 million milk drinkers in Canada makes a difference....and could someone add up the US farm programs to support dairy there?

So you rank Canada down with Jamaica. They at one time had dairy
Farms. Until the US used that country as a dumping ground for their excess production.
At least until it drove the Jamaican farmers out of business.
Now they are a slave market to the US.
While I do think the milk board thing here got out of hand here.

Trump holds all the chips in this game. He will win because he can break Canada overnight if he wants. Just thankful he hasn't been pissed enough to go after all Ag in general - would be BSE impact all over again and in every sector - completely decimate rural Canada.
