The other really odd thing about all of this is that his billionaire buddies have been using China to build shut because it's cheaper.....of course the technology will move to the manufacturing process to make it quicker or more efficient....

They created the move in technology in China. ...****ing dummies .....and yet they want sympathy from the American public now....

Watch dragons den or shark tank and you soon learn why the rich people created China.....
Have a look at the size of the US consumer economy compared to the rest of the world, and how minor trade is as a percent of GDP vs. China. They can sell to themselves, exports are nearly irrelevant. That is why the advantage is in the Americans favour in any trade dispute.

The US is buying stocks, now talking about price insurance. All perfectly legal. Europe does it too, no need to drop out of the WTO.

As far as coal and iron jobs... The mines are already reopening... LOL.

I'm sorry, but how do you expect an economy to operate with nothing to create value? Services and healthcare do not inject new money into a monetary system, they just make the same money go around.

I wish socialists would actually learn some economics before babbling nonsense.

Look at Japan. It's the productivity of the people that creates wealth. I do agree with you to a certain extent.

It was the high tax rates and excessive regulation in North America that created China imo

Right but factories don't get rebuilt or put back into service overnight....

I understand where and what Trump wants to accomplish but upsetting the apple cart with every trading partner seems excessive....

Then look at what the Bank of Canada just did ...higher interest rates won't solve Canada's problem when we and especially farmers in western Canada will be collateral damage by Trump, Poloz, and that ****ing idiot Trudeau who put fuel prices to the moon for no good reason.

Then shouldn't we be at the same rate for fuel as well...

It always seems like we get bent over...fuel made from cheap western discounted oil has to be priced somewhere else.

fertilizer has to be priced like it made a trip to NOLA and back....with cheapest natural gas on the planet.

no selection of chemicals for our crop because the PMRA is bought off by those same companies....then no one will address the lack of effectiveness of the chemicals sold....or explain the residual effects of so called non residual chemicals like SOLO....

              etc etc etc....

The people already decided that one a long time ago as evidenced by the growth of Walmart - the average consumer doesn't make the connection. Cheap plastic is good, screw your neighbour, the economy, the environment!

Canada is the least productive nation in the OECD. We live by our resources. Anyone with abundant natural resources is the winner, cheap labour easy to find and exploit and soon to be replaced with automation.
