Have yet to see gosling broods, or for that matter, ducks and ducklings.
High time to see population decline in this area.
What are others seeing?
But the deer population has kinda exploded after two winters of easy foraging.
Ebb and flow....

The Bottom pic from June 25th, all at 2.2 lbs this year . Up a bit from last year due to very dry seeding conditions

Finally got from 1.2 to 2 inches on the driest land. Early peas 8 inch
To a foot tall will at least fill. Some were dying down already.
Canola has a chance now, and looks better by the hour.
Not sure what we can expect.
It can come back pretty good.
Maybe 40 is still possible

Sure wish we could get the 1/2 to one inch a week - that's what I've always said we need but unfortunately we are getting nothing like it this year.

Grass I can explain over and over to you normal Canadian seasons and rain and you still won’t get it. We had a abnormal amount of years with excess rain.
Then one very dry year and if you ever studied plants, oh hell tour a university and see how deep roots can go for water. Then have a summer that basically it doesn’t rain. Moisture is used up. Then no fall rain snow and no winter snow and guess what the tank is almost empty.
When we’re back to normal and ground is filled back to normal all a farmer needs is he 4 timely rain events in our area.
Again to a foreigner you maybe don’t get it.
Keep posting you bullshit it’s great.
Now on the rain if your following the 4 timely rain events were half a inch shot for a perfect crop. Yes ground has moisture that# all.

For the most part crops here looking real good.
Only thing is the variation in crop size..some canola not even starting to bolt to ours that is half done blooming after 18 days of flowering.
Bly that just headed..oats that has no sign of heads yet..
Some guys will be done early if weather stays nice..others will be way later but will see when the combines are done.

Crop is starting to show its dry areas, not a pretty picture for lots of producers. Looks ok from the road but get in the air and it looks ugly.
