Not good when one gets a hot day of the week and a cool front goes through with zero chance of rain .... 🌵

As I said last week, this one is done SE of Regina. Barely a drop of rain since June 8th.
Rain won’t help from here on out.
Some later seeded or reseed canola has lived its entire life without a more than a couple tenths of rain. That ain’t a good thing.
Have to phone the banker tomorrow and let him know it’s all looking great, maybe he won’t ask again until October!
We are making dust in a couple days!

We've had about an inch and a half after June 8....it must be more Ghetto there than in the Slum of the Ghetto here.

But this year is not the case again for most of us .
We are extemly fortunate over here. Started off really dry, first rain came may 24th and we have had 15 inches of timely rains since then. More drowned out than last year but I'm not complaining one bit. All crops easily look as good as last year, maybe even a bit better. And last year our crop was bigger than 2013. We are just pure lucky. Last rain 1.5 inches 8 days ago so should be enough to finish off the majority of the crop.

Like I said Our farm needs 4 good shots of rain in a growing season with a normal subsoil moisture in place.
Well, the last one is the exhibition Week in Regina.
That is this week.
Whats funny cold front comes through and looks promising and fizzles out.
Oh well, I am counting my luck so far Three out of four ain't bad.
No massive bumper here anymore as my late stuff if taking a hit.
Pig shit is to hot this year so that's also not great.
Hail did do more than I thought.
Next year country.

Gotta take them out in a side by side....no walking...an extra 5% damage paid!
It has to hail mode than 10% for my insurance to kick in...lol...what ya think about that wiseguy... This Sandbox farmer is willing to sacrifice the first 10% for a cheaper premium...some of our rates are so low they don't even allow a "straight deductible" option.
