If Trump works his way down the list of things to attack from Canada, I think he will get Trudeau to say mercy if he goes after autos at 25%. A month of that and all auto factories in Canada would be closed. I agree in making Canada smug-free. Lots of Maritimers and BCer's vote Liberal. Maybe time for a tariff on seafood?

25% auto tariff will be on the table it sounds like unless we have a concession for Lighthizer.

Trump vs Trudeau

I don’t agree with your Trump. Trump may not have a large IQ but he considers winning
as the only thing. You can all him stupid or a crook but as prez of US he holds most
of the cards, maybe all of them, vs Canada. Trump knows how to work the cards he holds. Trudeau thinks he has a big IQ, and doesn’t, say all nice things, lots of weenies love him, but he’s a dork. Trump will steam roll him and Justin will think he’s won because he says all the platitudes. Never seen anyone so in over his head.
While I’m at it I’m so sick and tired of this gun control bullshit. Who cares? Without NAFTA the Canadian economy will be in the crapper, and there won't be any gifts left to give. It looks to me like Canada has maneuvered itself into a position where Mexico and the US will negotiate a deal, and Canada will be given a take it or leave it. Canada no longer has a seat at the table, which is never good.
