    yea we are really lucky here , we were hurting a little in early July but just about right now . 1/2" out of last few days . crops are nice but I don't think canola will do as good as last year . 2016 was one of our
    best crops , 2015 was one of our worst , back to back. hoping we can get what we have here , but always high risk in the swamp

      barely covered our crop ins. gaurantee last year and hope we can do that again this year.Last decent rain here was July long weekend.( 1.5" in a thunder storm).Heavy clay soil with 2" wide cracks since early June..

          I don't know where the 28 bu canola average for my RM came from but it must be crop insurance. Who else would track yield out here?
          I know they didn't get that number from me because i don't give crop insurance any numbers and in return they don't send me a bill.
