The press is surprised that the US will not back Canada in the dispute with the Saudis. When has Trudeau showed any support for US? He flew in Trump’s face with the illegals, he constantly has shown Trump that he detests everything about the US administration. Now- surprisr-surprise, he’s flying on his own. . You are right and you are wrong. Our leader and government have absolutely no concept of the damage their virtue signaling and general incompetence is doing to our countries image on the world stage. The G3 thing is a little different, it has been made pretty clear by the KSA that they want nothing to do with Canada, so in turn what is wrong with boycotting G3, their oil and cancelling the light armored contract however monetarily insignificant it is? I for one am not really interested in my money going to a royal regime that has so little respect for women or kills people based on their sexuality, but I guess that is an individual choice and not everyone sees it the same as me.

The irony is that Trudeau, the left and Quebec all virtue signal against everything the Saudis stand for, yet are comfortable to continue to import energy from them. They had a chance to make a big statement against this, by allowing a Canadian company, to build a Canadian pipeline, to bring energy to other Canadians, providing Canadian's with jobs, using Canadian materials, and the whole project was to be paid for by private industry, not government money.
