Wow. Farms will be going backwards 75 years . Tillage will destroy a generation (approx 30 years) of the organic matter built with zero till. Wind and/or water erosion will reign.
Farmers can’t afford to go backwards that far. Buying $120,000 tillage tools and the extra hours on a $425,000 tractor will depreciate the hell out of it. Add to that the inefficiency of harvesting half a crop with a high capacity combine, selling into a flooded (organic) market. This is an ugly picture. I am confident Bayersanto has been spending multimillions in research and development for the last decade. I sincerely guess that they will introduce a brand new seed technology and chemistry bundle by February 2019 so farmers will not have to go backwards 75 years and lose all that they built . It will be an expensive package for the first decade but at least the farmers will be doing the right thing.

Or perhaps a full hazmat suit and full breathing apparatus when working with Glyphosate. Does the label say anything about field re entry times? The surfactant is apparently the risk issue. Sure hope carbon cab filter works! Highest exposure would be spraying around the yard/buildings/bins. Bye bye preharvest..

Agreed with protective gear.
The best strategy in this area is to buy the product and deliver it to the employees. Instruct them to wear the protective gear you have supplied for them. Make sure your employees calibrated the sprayer properly then Instruct them what rate you want product applied, then you go do cool farm owner/manager stuff.

Don't really know why this got under your skin like it did. I am by no means a "big talker". Simply telling it like it is. What's shaking in your neighborhood is your prerogative, I'm simply stating what's shaking in mine! I've never seen group 9 resistant wild oats myself, but they are rumored to be around, again, in "my" neighborhood.

Loss of glyphosate as an effective means of weed control has already happened "here." People are not changing tactics "here", because they want to, but because they HAVE TO!
