Lanny Davis is the attorney representing Trump’s former attorney, Michael Cohen. Here is a lesson in legal wordsmithing. This attorney Mr. Davis cleverly avoids any direct answer and the press does not even understand his answer. He specifically states that Cohen*did not*plead in his own word, that the prosecutors wrote the script to which he has to plead or go to jail for decades. He keeps saying (listen closely) that the*“prosecutors are saying”*to which Cohen*“agreed”*under oath. The oath*part is absolutely absurd for*97 percent*of*ALL*federal convictions plead to whatever the prosecutor tells them to say. If you do not, you go to prison for most of your life. In the 1970s, the conviction rate was 72%. Today, it is 98.7%. Whatever someone says in a plea deal is*NEVER*the truth. It is what the prosecutor demands you say. This is no different from the Spanish Inquisition. Over 11 million people are arrested every year and less than 4% of the people in federal prison are even there for violence. (full interview)

Who will take Trudeau down? This year or next? No one east of Winnipeg could connect a picture of Andrew Sheer and his name. BQ dropped off face of the earth. NDP will never match Jack's success in eastern Canada for a very, very long time the way they are going. BC has turned their back on the middle of the spectrum let alone the right. Surging unemployment in the maritimes could fuel hunger for change but unfortunately those without jobs usually vote for those who promise more EI and welfare benefits.

That leaves Quebec and probably Ontario primarily voting for Liberal candidates by default. Ford as Ont premier is the wild card. He will greatly help or greatly hinder the CPOCanada's efforts whether he tries to or not and Ontario will have to counteract Quebec's love for the idiot savant.

I hate to say it but I don't see a path to victory for anyone other than the Liberals in the next 12 months without an earthshattering development. Here is to hoping for Marvin Martian bringing an earthshattering kaboom in the near future.

It appears that way. Sheer needs to make his presence more known. Think he figures if he stays the course and looks like a reasonable moderate alternative to Trudeau that he may garner support from soccer moms and non old stock folks. We can go on about his inactivity but I see a strategy at play and gaining support will take a lot of time. As much as bernier had valid points it’s bloody easy to lose that support hard won.
