Has anyone browsing this thread gone out to buy a refractometer yet? Do any of your agros use them or know anything about Brix. Also has anyone ever looked at their soil and rhizospheres under a compound or dissecting microscope?

Majority of “Argos” here completely ignore sugar levels and are dictated to by chem companies or major fert like mosaic who train them to think that sugar levels and healthy soil is witchcraft and snake oils. And I am not joking at all . Even on here with most fellow farmers you get butchered at times when bring up alternatives to mainstream Ag .
Anyway every farmer should have one and more Agros should be looking at soil under a microscope but it would expose the b/S they are fed from big Ag here in Canada.

Ohh and as far as Temp , Drew says Meadow lake to Spiritwood is going to get smacked with -5 by Wednesday.
We are late in general in the NW with many green crops in areas

Austrandia, the sad fact is side companies like bio agronics, have been into sugar level and soil micro biology for near 20 years but have been almost completely ignored by mainstream Canadian Ag .

I have had one for a few years. Started after I used some BTYR products and also started this year using a product from BioAgronics. Still learning but that is what keeps me interested in farming.

It will be interesting to see if Drew is right. Depends on where and when this next high centres . It’s a high pressure on the wrong side of the Jet stream .
No one remotely call for the last two frosts 4 days out either , they were all at 6 or 7 c on their 5 day outlooks till the night before. Canadian forecast models are garbage.

Zero forecast for Regina Tuesday morning. Durum will be in the bin - Canola will be vulnerable to say the least.
