You probably will not read the link so let me point out you some highlights:
"The president last year signed a package of tax cuts that is forecast to expand the deficit by about $1.5 trillion over 10 years."

"The administration's July budget update projected a deficit of $890 billion for the fiscal year that ends Sept. 30, up from the February estimate of $873 billion. The $890 billion deficit projection represents a 34 percent increase from the $666 billion deficit the government recorded in 2017."

"For 2019, the administration is projecting the deficit will once again top $1 trillion and stay at that level for the next three years."

"The only other period when the federal government ran deficits above $1 trillion was the four years from 2009 through 2012, when the government used tax cuts and increased spending to combat the 2008 fiscal crisis and the worst economic downturn since the 1930s."

"His tax bill exploded the deficit, and now he is trying to balance the budget on the backs of federal workers," Connolly

A trillion dollar deficit yet conservatives still believe in Trump economics! Ha Ha
Thanks for this. A pay cut is exactly what our bureaucrats need. To the point, the article says that the deficit is up, however, from the article I linked it is not because revenue has fallen. Name one country who's deficit is smaller in fy 2018 from 2017. Not one. So the US is not doing poorer than other ones. For the record 890B is quite a bit less than 1T but a still a cause for concern.

No question all government's spend way more than they should and give tax cuts where they shouldn't. But why should every civil servant get a 2.1% pay raise automatically. The problem is not Trump cancelling it but rather the entitlement in the first place.

Zambia: That was easy, took one quick google search. I am sure there are others, just took the first I found.

And you realize that the military are also federal employees. So you think the US military personal should have a pay cut? And veterans? How about homeland security and border patrols, you think they are paid too much too?

And a 890 billion deficit is okay because it is less than a trillion? and you ignore the fact that 890 billion is up from 666 billion last year and that the budget calls for a trillion dollar deficit in each of the next 3 years.

I had asked you earlier to provide some proof for your statement that the revenue side in the US was up. I provided 4 links showing it wasn't. And all you provided was an article that claimed the deficit was up but not because revenues had fallen. Until you can show me actual proof that revenues have actually gone up I will continue to call out your fake news.

Furrowtickler. My comments all relate to the topic posted yesterday and my comments made yesterday to which ajl responded with statements he can not back up. My references to trump directly relate to the arguments I made and have nothing to do with liberal policy.

But i would welcome any of the so called conservatives on this forum to defend the current 890 billion deficit being run in the us in a time when employment is full and it is claimed the economy has never been better

In the article I posted, revenue was UP 1.3% in the first nine months of fy 2018 over the corresponding period of fy 2017. There you have it. And for the record, I did not say that 890B is ok, just that it is less than 1T. Need proof that 890B < 1T ? Actually is was a raise that they are not getting, not a pay cut. It is here in Canuckistan that federal employees NEED a pay cut. In the US there is not such a huge spread between public and private sector like there is here which is one of the things I admire about the US.

Canada is set up to be one of the wealthiest nations on earth with abundant oil , water , uranium , timber, high quality grains , beef , oilseeds , pulses, dairy... but these fuks are going to throw it all away. What the hell are we going to to produce actual wealth with ???? The auto industry is toast , bombardier is fuked if they piss off Trump even more .
Really..... what do some of you think actually creates wealthy in a nation ??? Gay pride parades solar panels and windmills .. seriously???
Good god look at Greece , they are a nanny state with 80% of the population living off government wealfare ... dead in the water . You must create wealth as a nation to succeed, not just circulate tax payer money.... that ends up in a disaster every fukin time .
Do some of you think that Norway will stop drilling and producing oil ??? Yes they have a different system but not a fukin chance will they shit off the hand that feeds them

Trump doesn’t really want milk free tariffs, (but he will take them). The real end game is the auto industry and the jobs. The jobs and plants went to Canada and Mexico with cheaper labour and Nafta. The market is the usa, ironic that the consumers will pay more (for everything) - inflation.

There will be E15 soon, that will be good for the farm vote, and corn markets (next year) expect higher fert prices.

Trump will have Canada’s supply system disassembled over time. He has leverage over Canada, as the USA is the market for everything. Freight off shore, ocean is too expensive to other continents.
