    Manitoba Ag minister

Where do they find guys like this? I'm sure even on Agriville this clown won't get much support for stating that Manitoba is not in a drought situation when he said " I would say no, I would not call it a drought, I'd call it climate change"

Here is the late July drought status in Manitoba according to their own information, posted on their own website.

He further commented to cattle producers that "There's more feed out there than we really know" and "Feed shortages will be on an isolated scale, rather than widespread"

Hope the best for cattle guys short feed.
But as far as the “climate change” comment rather than drought statement you don’t like ....... hmmm interesting when the shoe is on the other foot and your suddenly not liking the climate change blame game for everything. Very interesting.

No, I highlighted that part for the entertainment of you folks that are climate change deniers/ staunch Conservative supporters. I thought you'd get a kick out of it.

Are you talking dried alfalfa pellets? Economical depends on supply and cost so I can't comment on that. My most obvious option is corn DDGs and wheat straw - feed in a 1:2 ratio and you get something better than a lot of hay is for under 5c/lb.

God damn ridiculous! Just the right spin so they don’t have help out producers in any way. This year I think most cattle and grain producers will find a way to make it work but without any rain this fall and snow this winter to recharge things are gonna be a shit show next Spring. Amazing how we can go from too wet to seed to too dry to seed in a year or two.

not one of the mb weekly crop reports commented on severe dryness in many areas, always said things were looking good overall. dumb fks, all the rain this year was t-storm based, meaning many ares had no rain all season. They need to quit wasting tax dollars on these useless politically motivated 'weekly crop reports'.
