I would check out a young guy who had everything going for himself named Pat Tillman of the Arizona Cardinals. That situation describes much better someone giving ALL for what he believes. Put Specialist Tillman’s face on a billboard with the same line as the Kapernick ad and ask yourself, who gave some and who gave all?

Cheap advertising with controversy. Piss a few off in US. But much bigger than just US - global company. Don't understand those that burn their Nike products that they bought personally. How about some of these people go to Nike headquarters and throw the CEO out the window? That sends a message.

As one business analyst said "angry old white guys are not the demographic Nike is selling shoes to". LOL
Kaepernick was not protesting against the flag or the country, he was protesting against how black people are treated in the US. Trump and his followers made it into a anti patriotic issue to shut it down.
Trump thinks there are some "good people" in the KKK and the white supremacist groups who marched in Charlottesville last year. That says it all. Trump likes to put down black protesters.

Chuckychuck, "As one business analyst said "angry old white guys are not the demographic Nike is selling shoes to". LOL"
That's pretty much what I heard from a leftist commentator yesterday, who was so angry with NIKE.
A sick marketing approach, or rather an attack, on black urban youth. What black young person now, will want anything but NIKE. How many young black kids are now going to be harassed or attacked because they aren't wearing NIKE. What if your family can't afford NIKE, now what! Do young Black kids now steel NIKE gear, or steel to buy NIKE gear, just to prevent from being harassed or attacked or bullied because they don't have NIKE stuff?
This approach of using branding as a political lever, to market your products, to those that can't afford it, or who will be cajoled or bullied in to buying it, was viewed as being disgusting, by this particular leftist commentator.

For many involved in the police force in the US this is yet another slap in the face from multimillionaire “stars†or has been stars to the average wage earning hard working cops who earn barely enough to enjoy life . That’s the message Nike and most who support this have no clue about or care. These cops put their life on the line daily to serve and protect the rest of us in society, and have to put up with this garbage at work consistently while these athletes and stars who do very little other than play a sport or act on screen use their influence to promote agendas . It’s really causing a huge rift in the US and around the world .
If you google Kurt Russel on this issue and guns he did an interview that spells it out very well .

I think it is a sick corporate move. inciting division.
the same tactics Trump uses .
and just as bad in this case.
if the company really wanted to stand for something,
give their workers another 10 cents an hour .
Kaepernick and others have a right to protest the way they see fit.
it seems like a mild protest at that.
I am sure the majority of police are as fair as possible in most cases.
but not all.

They have brought in two more speacial tactical units into this area that are currently cleaning house . And it’s good because the normal police officers don’t have to deal with the mud slinging media and speacial interest groups.
These speacial forces are doing raids and hammering local criminal kingpins and associates. None of it’s on the news but that’s ok , the job is getting done.
At the end of the day , crime should not be glorified, and yes police forces need to be accountable, but without their presence and hard work it would be a third world shit show .
