    Alberta Crop report September 4th

I still get this in my inbox every week. Delayed harvest due to weather but yield estimates are still good on a Provincial basis (99.7% of 10 year average).

Thanks for posting. But it looks like you may have forgotten one of the rules on here. If you want to call it the September 4 report, you have to release it on the third, Not a few days later.

LOL...The saying, not the fact you got a "hard" frost. What do you call it when you have a "soft" frost.

improved crop genetics, frost no longer an issue. At least that is how the mb govt wkly crop report would suggest.

Our area is supposed to be on par with long term normal yields but I don’t know of very many who are expecting “normal“.
We’re expecting about 2/3 of normal although our pocket was drier than others. Currently raining and more forecast for the next week. Too bad it didn’t come in May when it would have helped. Hay prices just keep creeping up while the pastures disappear..........at least we’re on the selling end of it this go round.
