It’s pretty obvious Trudeau wants no NAFTA deal due to his very obscure list of top priorities being:

Gender Issues
Native Issues
Environmental/Climate Alarmist Issues
Protecting the CBC as part of Canadian “culture”.

If this list of items are being considered a higher value than the economy and jobs we are in big trouble until he gets the boot.

Not only does not want a deal, he is carefully and deliberately crafting its failure in order to produce the unhappy domestic conditions necessary that will induce broader Trump-hate here.

Then, with his usual, theatrical flare, the drama teacher will ride in like a rescuing hero who alone can withstand Trumpian threats, he will harvest Trump hate votes in next year's election.

If one wanted to accomplish such an act, he couldn't do it better than this government has done.

If trump doesn't get impeached then the strategy is not what the deal is but how do you craft a deal so trump can say how great he is even if the deal clobbers the USA.
