FJ, just think how many times that old fellow has paid for himself ! about $20k new in 78, ?

$12000 from Grant in Foam Lake. About 2000 in repairs over 40 years. We ran for 7 years on propane, got the to Nat gas in 1985. Cost $5600 to get 3 MBTU. In 1986 we HAD to dry every bu, a year like this one. The diff between propane and Nat Gas was more than $5600. Paid for that in one years use. Check costs over the years, 4 point removal about 5 cents/ bu power and gas.

was talking to him yesterday, new one is $72k that size
sure feel for the guys that don't have gas !

Bucket I found a like new used one, 5000 hours, the perfect auger and rockpicker tractor, NOT even depreciating, holding it's value!

The super B's run cheap even on propane. 8 cents a bushel this yr..but we dried most of our wht when it was plus 30C.. dump hot and cool in air bin..
In 1996 the nat gas option was 13000..so we decided not..some yrs never use dryer just aeration..
Put a fan in every bin with the dollars instead.

we were lucky , got it for $4k . only 2.5 mbtu. a little light , but works
