Sorry , unless it is reasonable and can be dried ASAP or moved to an elevator.
    What’s manageable through a drier on farm , 14 ish ?
One local elevator is charging $.50/ bus 14 ish and under , $.22/bus 12 ish and under.
We only have 10 points to go from our test yesterday lol .
We will start when close to 12 ish and that’s going straight in to elevator. But that may be 10 days yet , hope not but that’s just the reality.

Today the plan is to start at 19 wht 14 canola.
That will change in few weeks.
Have @least 10 to 14 days grinding ahead when can.
This weather couldn't go if wanted to.

Well every one of us now has to reluctantly admit CLIMATE DOES CHANGE. Went from smokey hot dry to total shit, Vancouver cloudy dreary humid. And it will be stuck here for weeks!

From experience, it does keep, if it goes in cold. Not sure what temperature would be too warm. Just watch though, if it's really tough and you can't get to it for a while into winter, the outside layer will freeze solid and you'll be chipping it apart to get it through the extractor.

Did a hand sample of wheat, 25. Canola still too green yet.

Ground temp needs to be very close to freezing and it better be sealed with zero leaks to keep the oxygen out. Theory being the grain needs 02 for spoilage to happen. Seems if no holes you can rally push the threshold on moisture compared to a bin.

Last year our driest canola came off at 20% and most of it didn’t register on the meter. The little vertec just needed the dry auger slowed down to a crawl. Can be done but really sucks. If the wheat hits 20 or less here we’re rolling. Rain is supposed to start shortly switching to snow tonight and carrying on for a few more day. Just quit wearing rubber boots today here. Hopefully October is better.........

We started on Wednesday and wouldn’t register on the moisture dial. Was slow drying but got it done and moved. Kept going the last 2 days and yesterday after supper we could finally test it. Got down to 12.5 when it started raining or shud I say snowing now. Gonna be a long fall babysitting the dryer if this weather continues.

No doubt, desperate times requires desperate measures.

Input Capital Contract needs to be filled...

Accuweather looks like no hope for whole month of Oct.. dribble every few days with flakes and temps below 10c.

The only forcast that matters right now is the one that shows up outside my window.

Its 2 weeks before many will turn a wheel imo

Yes those contracts better get filled but so do all the rest of commitments. I remember guys not harvesting til spring and Scotia bank slapping a penalty for interest going back to the spring. Those are all almost as crooked.
