The first game between the Oilers and Leafs will be very interesting.
Let’s hope both teams will live up to their potential this year .
Be great to have a Canadian team or two make a run .
I know , I know its early but wow both teams as of today could make a run .
Calgary should be ok , the rest are a lost cause again

As far as teams in Canadian cities I would say Winnipeg has the #1 team.

Time will tell , but Ottawa , Vancouver and Montreal will be sub .500 most likely.
If Toronto gets their stuff together look out with Johnny there.
Edmonton needs back end help yet but will score relentlessly on opponents most likely. Conor may get 130 points or more if not injured.

Was awesome to watch another local play NHL early this morning with Boston in China .
Kinda cool , from Highgate Sask .
Giver shit Colby 👍👍, hope you can stick there , tough line up in Boston though.
I grew up with four guys that made er and now a few kids from the area. Good to see hard work and success pay off for some.
Corey Scwabb , a goalie that played in New Jersey behind Martin B sticks out in my mind . I knew he was going to the show when we played AAA midget together, he just had that edge. He did bring the cup back home , that was cool.
Holtby is another from the area to bring home the cup
Blair Atchenum, Dale Hoganson , Bob Shepherd, Darcy Simon are among others from here .
Ruben Mays was a short sensation in NFL till he tore his Achilles.
Drew Albers had a stint in MLB , was a teacher in NB last winter with my wife. In Japan this year.
I am know from Western Canada’s heartland there are many many more.
Anyway neat to see locals do well in professional sports .
