    Garbage Pickers at 5:00 AM

Well, this is a first for me. No, not getting up at 5 AM.

I usually get up early and have a coffee and read at my desk in my office. I turn on my Computer and look at evening camera footage and what do I find a Lady with her ass in the air digging through our neighbour's recycling container across the street.

She has on reflector coating as you buy at Peavy mart.

Looks like a good haul I shout out the front Door and she keeps digging.

I watch as she takes all the stuff out and picks through the recycling taking bottles etc. She does put it back in then walks back up the street to next house. A half hour later she checks the same one again

Then her fat husband shows up on our side of the street smoking a cigarette and I'm sure he hasn't missed too many meals.

I say WTF are you doing, He says he's with the City of Regina Recycling. HAHAHH

AT 5:00 AM. Leaves ours and goes on to the neighbours.

So yes they are trying to get ahead and if it means going through clean thrash I guess its ok but again it up getting to work on a harvest that is taking its toll and no one gives a shit about our problems.

So are we both the same. One provides food and no one cares and one cleans up garbage and not a peep.

Ah, Canada becoming one big shit hole county that Trump talks about or is this the new Canada that has become a reality.

What do others think? New Canadians or just a new Canadian way of life.

I guess if they don't leave a mess what's the harm? But to me it's one step closer to theft(life of crime when scavenging isn't lucrative enough anymore). What's next? Construction site scrap copper wire salvaging? Are the blue bins out on the street or on private property. Did you get a picture of them or their vehicle, just in case.

The blue bins are scavenger bins around here in SE Regina too. It doesn’t bother me one bit, happy to oblige👍 It’s the ,”Really Free Market”.

I think it must be a humbling experience, picking through garbage on Thanksgiving weekend. I would hope the average canadian would offer additional recyleables or maybe 5 bucks, but I guess this is the new reality of Canada.

SK, I saw exactly the same thing today on my am walkabout. Guy rummaging through every bin looking for cans or whatever. Wearing a fluorescent vest to look like a city worker too.

Guy should hide in one of those bins and jump out with a sawed off and see what they think then.

We pay a fee to have those bins pick up, and now our homeless just have to show up and grab and run. Guess its direct support to them too. Socialism creeping everywhere.

By the look of the vehicle, these weren’t starving people.

Nice reflector outfits and no they don’t work for the city.

              Pourfarmer...

A quote from SF3's original post; "Then her fat husband shows up on our side of the street smoking a cigarette and I'm sure he hasn't missed too many meals."

I don't care how heavy he is...but smoking is a "luxury" in my eyes.

Bottle picking along the highways is quite common here. Saw a couple guys on ATV's doing it one time in the median of the Yellowhead highway. Had picking sticks so it was done from the seat. Professional operation. Picking out of recycling bins, however, would be stealing as the city uses that money to help pay for various garbage services. Doesn't amount to much, but theft nonetheless.

Yep you really understand how much people, industry and our suppliers think of us with such a shitty fall harvest.

Not a peep because parasites need us to survive.

Why tell the truth it’s better to say headlines like the drought is over, no problem with fires this fall or my favourite we are ahead of the five year average.

Then sun out for five min why you not going.

                        It’s a sad occupation.
