Mustardman - does it make sense it’s going to cost about seven thousand dollars to fill my 3/4 ton truck with fuel, life as we know it will completely stop. And for what Someone’s dream that carbons a bad thing I’m thinking you’re the one that’s gotta get with the program.

We are likely consuming more energy recycling on this farm and household than the accrued benefits.

Selfish my ass. But I like it because the farm has NEVER been cleaner!

THE biggest ****ing hypocrites are preaching from their soap boxes and doing the least.

The other day some benevolent tire shop in Regina let us return 50, decades old, tires to the scrap tire recycling program.....tractor tires and used tires that every farmer thought they had a use for. The previous defunked "Black Gold Rush" couldn't carry on and our area of the province didn't get to use that program....so instead of burning them..."WE" hauled them away to be recycled. No big black smokey fire here which would have been cheaper and easier.

Used oil and filters. DEF jugs. Batteries. All containers with a paid deposit. Household paper(stoopid amount in my opinion) and tin, some plastic....all recycled.

Our "garbage" can in the house can go weeks before it needs to be emptied...nothing "wet" gets put in it to stink. Compostable stuff gets dumped in the slough grass nearby.

Double walled Enviro ground fuel tanks.

      Direct seeding.

Tried to increase household heating and cooling efficiencies with better windows and extra insulation...programmable thermostat.

IRONICALLY, and I guess hypocritically, we are consuming more than our parents but at least I am trying to do it in a friendlier enviromental manner!

As a society we need to Consume less ,No one likes change, but we Must change and Accept lifestyle changes to Slow down the Co2 increases

We can do this Voluntarily BUT in order to work this Has to be a government mandated policy, so everyone complies. If there is No penalty on pollution,Why stop?

Some people believe that the way to change another person’s opinion is to lecture them and belittle them. And when that doesn’t work, call them Nazi’s and Neanderthal’s. There is a name for that group of people, it is on the tip of my tongue but I can’t quite place it.

It sure looks like the jet stream is not as stable as it used to be.

What is Drew Lerners opinion ?

My parents and generations before, had a tax on waste. It was called going without. Because you had to. Trained them very well. A very equal opportunity teacher. Required no legislation.
Anything else, like this current dogma, is buffalo chips.

Mustard, Grass, Chuck and the like; I'm just curious how wealth redistribution through carbon tax contributes to reduced emissions? Does giving to the poor not give them incentive to buy more stuff/drive more/burn more fuel? It doesn't do anything to lower emissions. Why was BC crying foul when they had such high gas prices this summer? Isn't the point of their carbon tax for higher fuel costs? They got what they wanted then didn't want it anymore. I don't get it. Socialism is extremely costly and stifling business and growth means less funds are available for all the best intentioned social programs that are conjured up. Does handicapping our potential without having any effect on global numbers do anything besides making the few people that support it sleep better at night? The entire world needs to reduce emissions and that just isn't going to happen. You may think we're leading by example but everybody else beside a few bleeding heart countries in Europe are laughing at us. I think we can and should do better but a carbon tax is the best idea they could come up with? I haven't seen anybody from our government put any real numbers forward on the tax. All I hear is that we are supposed to swallow this poison pill and everything will be better in the morning. SHOW ME THE NUMBERS!!!

You see, to me it's very telling when those who advise it have never gone without.
                        Looking beyond wienerville of course.
