    Canada had prohibition from 1918 to 1920, then booze was legalized.

    In 1969, Canada legalized abortion.

    They "cause society problems" in some Canadians mind did the government make either of them illegal again?

    Scheer's answer had nothing to with society problems of legalized pot, it was was strictly to do with holding on to votes.

      I would bet the farm Sheer wasn't in favor of legalization. But his personal views may not matter.

      I think it will take years to assess the affects of legalization and once again we "may" be treating symptoms of problems and not the cause.

        People will do them anyway unless you have laws that mean something the way they fight drunk driving or drugs it's no wonder people still do it.
