There are different setting for the way you use a Lexion ....maximum throughput..better quality ...and something else...

Depends how the demo was set up...from what I have seen Lexions are phenomenal machines...compared to a deere...although I am using 10 year old deeres ...so wtf do I know...

Demos don't come here because I don't trade often enough..I have never managed to wreck or wear out a combine in 250 hours.

The dilemma I run into is if I don't trade ...I run the risk of a major in harvest or a major difference to trade at any time....probably easier for guys to make those trades at smaller amounts than pay big every 8 years....but its really getting retarded for machinery...a two year old combine to new shouldn't be 100k per combine or is that normal now????

I think your trade numbers are too low. Used to be 60 for 1 year old to new and 100 for 2 year old to new on multi deal. Trade prices much higher now as dealer lots are too full of used that is over priced.

This flat wheat is a time killer. Still mud under crop mat. Very slow with header or swather , lots of downtime and repairs daily .
Bright side, soybeans cutting fairly well, at least the little sun and wind has firmed up the ground ok for header to work reasonably well .
But still very odd things it seems every day costing valuable time ....


Just one example, not sure what it is , maybe old wheel spoke ?? But the knife drive did not like it on header I know .
Anyway I am sure there are going to be lots of ‘wtf’s’ this year for everyone dealing with flat crops and mud
Good luck to those struggling in area .... it’s not fun at all . But at least weather is ok now for a few more days .

My guess is it is a reel arm bracket/hub off a set of old reels....possibly off an old binder. I am getting old enough to say it looks like it could be that. We had old binders sitting around the farm until we did the BIG clean-up years and years ago. Better stop talking I'm beginning to date myself.

But I'm not soooo old I can say I've ever used a binder.

Edit in, six bats seems like alot from back then, maybe it is a "buggy" wheel hub like you said. Still talking ancient stuff.

And no, I never rode in a buggy either....

Definitely not a buggy hub. More inclined it’s a reel end. Buggy hub a band where spokes fit into. I’m young but been around enough of that stuff. Here we’re forever getting chunks of stuff that looks like trace chain, same stuff you attach diamond harrows. Think it came off those old drills that drug a chain for packing.
