    2 billion for water

Goodall announces a 2 billion water fund .....oh oh ...with Wayne Clifton beside him. If you are a dryland farmer you might as well start seeding grass.....lol...

    this phrase ..

.""""....Goodale also announced $2 billion dollars in federal funding for water infrastructure, which he said is a huge opportunity for Saskatchewan to transform and diversify its infrastructure.

The fund will "help build major transformative infrastructure projects to advance flood proofing, drought proofing and water-based economic development," Goodale said."""""

Drought proofing means irrigating...the last study says in 2008 says it cost $5500 an irrigated acre to get water to the quarter line....then another 150k to put the infrastructure to the pivot point....

This is the kind of subsidy some are receiving out this way....

While dryland farmers get zero support..

I don't mind irrigation subsidized by the government IF the farmer grow some high value crops but when I drive by irrigation projects with lentils flax canola and wheat on them its pretty ****ing stupid,

I was told back in 1999 if you are growing dryland crops on irrigation ...its just wasteful...at a SIPA meeting.

where are matching funds for dryland farmers in the form of support?

    Where are the farm reps????

The government won't let ranchers tie on to the existing pipeline here to send water out to parched pastures....ranchers have to haul water ...
