End point royalty system is what we have in oz.
New varieties think its around 4.40 per tonne and as mentioned above comes of payment marketers/end users handle it. The mentioned figure is wheat and barley. Usually after 2 years drops to 3.30 then after about 5 years no royalty as it been replaced by a "superior" type.
Farmer to farmer trading allowed so farmer A buys cerified seed and multiplies it has some excess hes allowed to sell it farmer B.
Hypothetical generic figure if if wheat is say $300 per tonne certified seed is maybe around $600/700 mark.
Again a little unsure but i think posssibly 80% of breeding in Aust is done by private sector other 20% universities and govt.
