I wouldn't deal with the Saudis period. I have always said that. I seem to recall a big outcry on here at the time of Freeland's comments and the Saudi backlash to them - most were saying Canada shouldn't speak up on their human rights abuses - just keep doing business with them. Now Trump says the US shouldn't speak up, just keep dealing with them and Trudeau gets criticized for letting Canadian companies still sell armoured vehicles to them. So which is it? do you think we should be trading with them or not? I flat out wouldn't - they are one of the very worst regimes in the world in my opinion.

The same group also purchases crude oil which is delivered into the sewage filled St Lawrence by diesel powered tanker. These purchases help fund these archaic societies which continue to stone women. 🙈

Oliver. So you would like some
Good old socialist intervention
Requiring eastern refiners to use
Only Canadian oil .
I would support you on that.
With that as your platform, you would be a bit radical for the liberals , more likely find a home
In the NDP.
And I would vote for youLast edited by sawfly1; Nov 21, 2018, 04:54.

Yes we are hypocrites.still selling the armoured vehicles.
Give them a lecture, but still sell them.
Freland was kinda vindicated by this butchery.
Made them crazy ,esp. A woman saying it.
As for Trump, it is overwhelming.
If trump thinks it is OK because
He was in Muslim Brotherhood, just replace Brotherhood with Jew . You get the idea where trump is headed.
Nothing changes in this world.
Arm both sides of the same religion. To kill each other.
US arms the Saudis.
Russians arm Iran.
China will sell to both.
Good for profits.
Kinda like arming both arming protestants and Catholics
Years ago in northern Ireland .
Then wonder why it does not end well.
When the same weapons are turned on us, like Iraq

With the pipeline we could end any need to import Saudi Arabia or other barbaric regime oil into eastern Canada refineries.

People hear "journalist murdered" and they imagine Rosie Barton or Susan Ormiston or Anderson Cooper. This guy was a shill for an opposition faction in a brutal kingdom using the WSJ as part of his cover. Its sad that he got cut into bits and hauled home in hefty bags but lots worse happens everyday in the Mid East. Move on. Trump is bang on right on this one.

The ndp needs a kick in the ass.
Opposition to the energy east pipeline , or any pipeline for that matter.
It might not pencil out , but why the reluctance of the east for a pipeline?
2 suppliers , competing on price
. Can not help but reduce their cost of oil.
My point is decisions like that , for the country will not be
Done by the private sector.
You need govt. Involvement to get it done.
The fact the liberals have adopted one of them is a good sign.
Just nobody ever plans in this
Country. Or 30 years too late.
And that is why grain does not
Move and oil does not flow
