    The real problem ....

Is Canada or statscan by extension does not do trend line statistics to ensure the infrastructure of Canada is built for the demand projected and then correlated to a sum of all industries. ....

Every year I get a "what if" from crop insurance...

Imagine if statscan was doing what ifs ....

What if we develop the oilsand ....how to move the product....

    Pipelines.....OK

    What is the required capacity?

What if they are not built?

    Railways....OK

    How much capacity?

How does it affect other products that must move by rail?

    Grain potash etc

What if those sectors production increase?

How much capacity does the trend line tells us we will need?

It hasn't been done or the capacity would be there for a good portion of it....

Ummm, are we expecting Government to do Industry's job. Seems the Gov wants a Capitalistic free and open market but when that stifles growth whose best interest is being served? Canada's or the RR's.

Seems to me it's easier for the Gov to blame others when they themselves don't want to be responsible for the Nation's well being.

For ****'s sake.... can we have it both ways?

    Regulation anyone?

bucket, up to Trudeau/Horgan,,,no one ever dreamed we'd have governments in power that would hinder or stop the development of resources, hence, blocking wealth from filling the government coffers and instead, requiring them to increase taxes on it's working citizens.

The reason that the issues don't happen as often in the states is because the USDA uses or reports trend line yield dat that helps industries grow for the projected production....

Although shit happens there with rail issues....they have data to quickly back them up to help them alleviate any future issues....

They also have the Surface Transportation Board that has teeth as opposed to our CTA that rubber stamps everything...

When Railways are called in front of the STB you can bet they don't tell them to **** off like here...

So yes farmaholic there will have to be government involvement as a regulator, policeman and data head in order to stay in front of issues like 2013...

In the states they have the government , The STB as the policeman, and the USDA issuing trend line yields as the data head.

Sask crop insurance sure doesn’t use trend line data. “What if” proves that
