Looks like the system is broken and Trudeau just fast tracked extending the current equalization formula.
That's the payoff so Energy East never happens . Its called " **** ALBERTA " Trudeau style .Last edited by 6V53; Dec 11, 2018, 00:01.

Quebec is the original ugly step sister to confederation and unapologetic welfare queen. The attribute all funds they can get as being deserved even at somebody else's expense. The original identity politics *****s.
Its a bad marriage and only one way to fix it.
Canada is really just a myth. Quebec doesn't identify with it. Maritimes are total slaves might as well be living on the moon. Natives don't recognize the country and new immigrants identify with their home countries still. Only thing keeping it together is the European settlers and following immigrants.

So, instead of whining about it on Agriville, we need to take action.
Canada already has a precendent in place for a province to leave confederation, so that isn't a problem.
Does the US have any system in place for accepting a new state or states on equal ground to all existing states?
As for timing, resentment to Ottawa will be at its highest level with a Trudeau in power, so this may be the best opportunity. Trump is crazy enough, reckless enough, will recognize the business opportunity and needs a distraction, so good timing there too. The UN has proven that they are impotent to do anything.
Perhaps we only need to request that the US orchestrate a friendly military coup to remove the present provincial governments of the have provinces, set up provisional governments to negotiate the transition then return to democratic elections coinciding with the existing US election cycle.
The only group even remotely capable of armed resistance is gun owners, whose resentment at Ottawa is so great that they are unlikely to protest. Trudeau hasn't missed any opportunities to denigrate and alienate members of Canada's military, their loyalty to Trudeau cannot be guaranteed.
Allow the socialists and other dead weight the opportunity to move out and remain with the sinking ship that will be rest of Canada.
How do we start the negotiations with the US, is there any precedent? Anyone have any connections?

There's not much love for Trudeau in most of southern Ontario, geographically.
Unfortunately, the votes are skewed by the urban areas and Northern Ontario where the unions rule the day.

.
We can never keep up with that out here not matter how angry we get. Eventually the down east population will be 3 or 4 times that of the west.
If we are to become a vassal state then I would rather be a vassal of the americans but the democrats are doing the same thing down there.
However, we have our own issues as well. There is no reason for Calgary Edmonton and Regina Winnipeg to be electing any liberals at all. Saskatoon is still socialist hellhole no matter what happens.Last edited by jazz; Dec 11, 2018, 10:58.

Maybe a bit off topic but...just be glad you wont be around to see what will be going on in canada and the USA in 50 to 75 years or so. Immigrants will be fighting for control along with natives and special interest groups. There will eventually be a war over all of this. North America has not seen European style conflict on it's own soil but it will eventually. Different groups come in and want to set all the ground rules to form their own new country. Laugh all you want.....you wont be laughing last that's a guarantee.

Oh and one more thing....
Western separation is nothing but something to talk about. Never going to happen. They would let us vote but if it ever was put into motion the federal government would have the military in here in a flash. No west, no country. The separatist leaders would be having tragic "accidents" left right and center.
