    I get you, hobby.
    It's self preservation.
Just think if all the conventional farmers switched to organic status, and what that would do for organic prices. Unlike Austa Can Damn Us, you get it, so keep spreading those negative waves.

There is nothing I am describing that cannot be visually confirmed.
You have seen the neighbors organic fields. You have seen the the obvious contrast from a plugged fertilizer run and you have seen the weed population when you miss with the sprayer. I am not lying. You see it for yourself on your very own farmland.
I watched the global news clip on the 40,000 acre guy. Look at the background when they are filming the combines. There is a bunch of green plants standing in that gold stubble. Look at that wheat sample. Minimum 10% lime green immature kernels if you can sit there and see it watching TV. That is organic for sure. I am not lying All you have to do is use your eyes and look.

I watched it again. Even the camera man knows how this is going to progress. Middle of the clip and at the very end, the camera focuses on an established wild oat patch romantically waving in the wind.
If I listen properly, it sounds like he built a 40,000 acre farm from scratch, doesnt care for the thin margins and is in hot pursuit of the organic farming unicorn. It makes a good tv news story, he is happy and motivated to succeed. Its a free country and he has the courage to do it. There is nothing wrong in aiming for success

Every thing is connected to marketing.

Trudeau shits dark this morning and it effects the Canadian dollar. That’s marketing. It costs me more to be American.

Grassy, do you think the author of this thread meant "attitude" or "altitude"?

              You never know!

The S&G Police (spelling and grammar) are hard at work! Making Miseryville a safe place for readers.

I will have you know I resent the insinuation that I have a poor attitude on agriville,

I also have a poor attitude everywhere else. 😎
I can probably still track down my grade 1 teacher that will attest to that.

Most farmers have lost sight of how very wealthy they are compared to the majority of the population. Most complain while typing responses all winter in some warm sunny tropical country.

Farming is the best life ever.

This needs to be qualified... Those with significant paid for assets are quite wealthy, *on paper*. It goes without saying that those who are without assets, and without any real hope of acquiring assets given the cost of entry these days are in much the same position as the "majority of the population."

Not discounting that there are some farmers that have done quite well for themselves, and there are plenty starting out that have been given a significant head start with the roll over of paid for assets. One must not lose sight of the fact that there are a whole lot of my generation though, who have neither, and are slugging it out in the trenches.

OK Wasn't going to show any measure of positiveness....but the current RM of Moose Creek council does deserve just a bit of praise.

Many of you won't believe this; and the base voters may indeed becomes very pissed; but; after only a decade the RM of Moose Creek council decided to pay a decade old debt that still remained remembered by those forced to cough up $2901.93 because of then councilmembers ability to read the "Municipalities Act"

Read the Agriville archives if interested.

And I now believe in kharma and humor as well. Guess who got to sign that RM cheque; and a genuine thanks to the relatively new councillors and the honorable elected official who handed the cheque to the representative of the 140 or so petitioners.

"E. pleubus non carborundum" (as is often said). Its OK to write off bad debts...but never give up collected what is legitimately owed.

But it made many peoples day...albiet as it immediately came to mind the passing of three individuals who never got to collect what was due to them; as well as at least a couple of us who have lost some "mental sharpness" over that time period.

And yes it does build positive attitudes.

So since I’m yapping from some warm climate it’s a chilly 52 start this morning.

Yes farming has been good and yes growing the crop I love.

But reality my grand father had 4 dad had 12 I’ll end with 36 or more and I don’t think my boys will end with 108 quarters. Unless I have the winning lotto max ticket and then I wouldn’t buy farm land in sask today. He future maybe.

It’s not negative it business and land has been over priced before and dropped and then up since canada was settled. Read study history.

But I can name dealers or Fert Chen suppliers, equipment manufactures that sell out for unbelievable money or just shut down and retire with huge bank accoun5#.

But farmers most retire by selling the farm o their sons.

Most farmers recycle money. No extra buy a home and pension check and a little nest egg.

So yea maybe negative or just pointing out we’re bottom feeders.
