Had a Jack Fruit burger last week. It was pretty good. Personally my favorite meat is bison. Australian black angus tastes similar but grass fed bison is the ultimate. Less fat, more iron.

We tried it, definitely NOT meat but tasted okay. Might be healthy...a solution when Liberals/GREENS/PETA KILL beef production. Would help pulse industry.

I am not opposed to pea/rice/bean/lentil protein. They are good amino acid profiles. Soy is garbage though as it raises your estrogen levels, probably why society is going downhill fast.

I eat very paleo. Vegetables are great. But so is meat, and I eat a lot. They don’t need to pretend processed patties are meat and confuse people, just call them compressed whatever they are made of. And no I won’t be eating crickets.

Edit: I don’t darken the doors of any fast food joint.

A surprise to see recently number of states in US where cattle production ranks first in value.
Also others where chickens are first.
Going to be a slow process to wean consumers away.

A and W has been pretty successful with their marketing of late. I enjoy a good burger. The beyond meat burger is a decent option. I am pretty turned off by meat of unknown sources that ends up in fast food burgers. I suspect a lot it is tough low quality cull dairy cows spiced up so it doesn’t taste like crap. Same for most factory ready made frozen patties. If you want good quality make your own from a reliable local source. Lower red meat consumption is a trend that farmers are going to have to get used too.

                    Went to A&W yesterday
Got 2 burgers 1 Papa burger and 1 Beyond Meat Burger.

I prefer the Beyond Meat Burger over the Papa burger.
I would have to say it was the best veggie burger I ever had. Does not compare to a homemade hamburger but comparing to other fast food burgers it’s ok.

Some small town restaurants have some good homemade burgers.

As far as restaurant chains Tony Roma’s has a pretty good burger.
