Let's see Obama was getting medical coverage for people that could not afford it. Trump is pouting because he said day one of his presidency the wall
Was being built and paid for by Mexico. As it turns out the democrats and many republicans are saying their needs to be enhancements and those enhancements are being or would be approved but the president admits himself he's not going to give in and accept that not because what he is saying is right but because he can't admit he was a fool to anyone. That's the difference.

It's also a shame any leader has to hold all those workers as pawns for their desires. They have families to feed also.

Trudeau is doing the same thing to the people of Alberta....taking their money and knowing full well Alberta people are hurting and then using his adjustment of the Equalization formula to force feed Quebec the money from Alberta .....Billions sent to Quebec that could have been used by Alberta to build another pipeline and avoid both BC and Quebec....

Wally shouldn't have used up a couple billion on non revenue things like the stadium and the bypass...

What's the number in the last 2 years ...over 10 billion sucked out of saskatchewan and alberta for Quebec...

People lost insurance they already had, some had skyrocketing premiums etc. While I don't believe that people should be without some health coverage, the dem plan was a real mess and maybe not affordable.

You make some good points I m maybe biased because I have e friends in the USA that could not get coverage without Obama care. They basically lost everything to pay for illness in their family.

Funded health care in Canada will eventually have to go to some hybrid model. Maybe the US is ahead of the game here. Our system will eventually need private money as in the form of user fees or something to keep it going. That's what the US should look at. Like charge $100 or something for a doc office visit which are very common. That would have the average family contributing to the system on an affordable level. Then use those funds to prop up the big expensive operations nobody can afford that you might need once or twice a decade or something.
