You underestimate how resourceful desperate people are - think of the British POWs that were held in Colditz by the Germans that escaped and made their way across occupied Europe back to Britain to serve again. Putting a fence or wall up where you aren't watching every inch of it every minute of the day isn't going to be effective.
What's wrong with adding extra security. People are big talkers until something they rail against happens to them. Put yourself into the shoes of families hurt by people that are illegal aliens. The waste of government money is unreal, what trump is asking for is nothing and will create jobs forever in construction and maintenance. You know grassfarmer you most likely relocated to canada to escape alot of the issues that are just beginning to root here now. We have a small amount of people working to keep a majority alive with more coming in every day for the free ride.

In Alberta Provincial politics... the Wild Rose Party [since mid 2000's] was 'Conservative'... and the old time [since 1974]'Progressive Conservatives' voted to merge together July of last year [under leader Jason Kenny].

Now these merged parties are called the 'United Conservative Party' these 'conservatives' are polling well and projected to win the provincial election this first half of 2019.

Presume you must have some other than conservatives and liberal.

Funny in australia our conservatives are called the "liberal party" and our left party is called "labour" or workers party hence the name.

Didnt tom run for politics in a "rose" party or something or is that provincial

Common Sense would dictate... politics aside... that a more secure US border with Mexico... is in the best interests of both countries. Pres Trump will likely prevail in one form or another... to secure this border... the Democrats are shooting themselves in the foot.... the longer this drags out the more silly they look.
        Cheers!

Isnt it odd that the same cons we voted out because of incopetence and arogance are the same ones who are backing the ucp, and no matter how bad sask3 wants to believe the libs, and nds are the problem all this mess is a carryover from the previous gov,and the next governing party will inhearet what the present gov has put in place. Wouldnt it be nice (or scary) if a gov could turn things around in a 4yr term.

Maybe we/Canada should pay for the wall. We paid 4.5 billion for a pipeline that nobody wants to talk about. Could you imagine the favours Trump would give Canada if we offered to pay for the wall. We could even call it the Canada wall. It would make Canada Great Again!!!!!

I would rather have Trump wall off Quebec and parts of Ontario.

Like the first nations people of North America? Good job they weren't wall builders or none of us would be here! Irony is not only was the white man allowed free entry to this country they promptly turned around and fenced the inhabitants into reserves. Now you want to reduce their rights further while advocating building walls to keep other "illegal aliens" out. #whitemanprivilege

Since your on the lefts favor topic divide and conquer. I see someday in the future when North America is ran by some trible Religious group from the Middle East the native Canadians will be wishing they had them pasty privileged whites back in power but it will be to late.
